It's important to set realistic book sales expectations. Fairs are about overall exposure and since our fairs are permanent they can drive sales for many months and even years. So we are looking at what we expect in the first 30 days. However, please note that we have no way of knowing how users will react to any fair or the books in the fair and your results most likely will vary from these expectations some (positive or negative).

In order for this to happen, it's really important that each author with a book in the fair shares the fair as widely as possible and at least weekly for the first month. If they are comfortable doing it more frequently then it will only improve the performance of the total fair. We cannot stress enough that these are just general guidelines to measure the success of a fair by but the results you get will depend a lot on the total reach of the authors in the fair and the effort each makes.
In addition to book traffic and sales, you can also expect to get dozens of emails from the readers that enter the giveaway for your book fair. This is completely dependent on how hard you and the other authors market the giveaway but we have seen as much as 750 entries for one book fair in the last two years. We have also had some book fairs only generate a handful of entries, it's all in the hands of the authors and their networks. eBookFairs does also promote the giveaways but we strongly urge authors to use this tool to build their email lists. As a reminder you get to download the contact information for every giveaway entry for every book fair that you participate in. It's a great way to sell books and build your own contact list at the same time.
