This is an amazing book that has me on chokehold, I must admit the cover really intrigued me as much as the saying goes don’t judge a book by its cover. Join Barok the magician also human who had to spend time among vampires for the purposes of learning, from ancient times these were ways to forge allies from both communities to enhance an uper hand over unknown enemies. This story was intense, not only was I worried that the vampires would snap and harm Borok but also something else was creeping in the shadows. I found it highly entertaining and i was so interested to unfold what would come next. I was fascinated by just the setting of this story I found it being unique and seeing alliances like these are usually rare. The pace was also just right, i love it when a story doesn’t feel rushed. I found myself reading it without a pause due to curiosity. I really wanted to know where the story leads. If you’re thinking of getting this book, get it, believe me you won’t regret it. It’s an amazing read.
