POST-SEASON AFTERNOON REBECCA

Not about Christian online dating this time, but a chance to explore God-given talents, to mingle and enjoy being young, and above all, enjoy being created in Gods image. I am talking about Mike J. Kizmans book, Post-Season Afternoon Rebecca. The last book revealed that Rebecca Afternoon is a good role model to the young girls. Here, we see Starrr shine, all thanks to Rebbecca, and she is so thankful she invites Rebbecca in front of the camera. Maxine has come from afar, and Rebecca still looks out for her. Jeff also tells a great story of being patient, and above all, living as a Christian youth should. Above all, it is sports time; a wonderful time for friendship to thrive and talents to be polished and so much fun. As Rebecca puts it: we win as a team and lose as a team. Lets just hope that we stay a team no matter what. In all his books, Kizman has always advocated for a good life for the youth. Bad things often get in the way, which is why boys and girls should remain steadfast in their faiths. Rebecca Afternoon inspires, as do the others, more so Jeff and Maxine. Simply put, Kizmans protagonists often have inspiring stories to tell. Seeing as he writes for the young audience as well, Kizmans prose is always clear and descriptive. With this, he is able to break out the characters emotions and vividly convey memorable scenes. This book in particular carries with it a sense of joy and accomplishment throughout. One thing to note about this book, however, is the lack of conflict. It is all about joy and celebration for the young ones. While this is a good thing, some readers could appreciate experiencing the darker side of some characters, the surprises, and the rough terrain through which some characters would undergo. Even so, for a story as short as 75 pages, Post-Season Afternoon Rebecca hits the mark.
