Love at First Spy is an LGBTQ romance thriller by Mia Miller. Chloe has been sheltered from the crime her family commits. Her grandfather, the founder of a company full of spies, hires Ezek to watch over her. Disguised as her neighbor, Chloe could not stop being attracted to her. She goes as far as coping Ezek, as she tries to get her to notice her. This story is incredibly intriguing and enjoyable to read. Miller's writing is descriptive by nature. She expertly mixes the pace between quick and slow times. Demonique appears to do something that affects the rest, whereas Ezek remains calm and cool. Also, when confronted with danger, Chloe shifts from vulnerable to collectively calm. The humor complements the book. This is most evident in Chloe's demeanor, as she never understands the point or gravity of a situation. The novel is also a testament to how love conquers all, particularly for rom-com aficionados. The storyline is also well thought out and planned out. The themes of betrayal, love, and trust are constant. Mostly how trusting blindly lands one in tight spots. Mia Millers writing is simply intriguing. Love at First Spy also shows the importance of trusting one's instincts. I would recommend this book to lovers of romance and thrillers.

by Agnes OdekLove At First Spy by Mia Miller tells a story about Ezek who started her career running away from her past to start a new life. She was escaping her mother and did not even want her to know where she went, and Wyatt hiring her made this mission possible for her. She went to San Francisco to start her job, hired by Wyatt as a spy.She moved in next to Chloe, who was Wyatt's granddaughter. Chloe picked an interest in her. Chloe watched her for some years until finally Ezek noticed her. When they could finally hit their relationship off, Doc and Demonique made a plan to get rid of Wyatt and send Chloe to a mental asylum so that they could steal Wyatt's money without Chloe's disturbance. Doc was manipulative and a liar; she used these to get what she wanted. Chloe needed help, and she thought she was getting it from Doc, not knowing she was the prey that just landed into the predator's mouth. Doc was jealous that Ezek liked Chloe. This book tells an interesting story of a lady who discovered she was interested in women, and it kind of gives an insight into how hard it can be for such individuals to come out to their families and get accepted for owning their truth.I loved it; the story had a good flow and kept me wondering what happens next. It gives an insight on what it is like to be queer and in a career that is considered manly. It showed that as much as women are wired emotionally, they can also be rational, especially if it trickles down to saving someone they love. I love this book. I would recommend it to anyone who loves books with queer themes. Ezek made this story worth a read.
by Scovia OdekLove at First Spy by Mia Miller is an LGBTQ romantic thriller that skillfully weaves together elements of undercover work, romance, and personal growth. The novel follows Chloe, who discovers that her enigmatic and alluring neighbor, Ezek, is a spy assigned to protect her from the shadows of her grandfather's criminal empire. This revelation propels them into a world filled with danger, secrets, and an undeniable attraction that defies their professional boundaries. The story explores themes of trust, redemption, and the transformative power of love in the face of adversity. Mia Miller does a great job by crafting nuanced characters whose personal journeys resonate deeply with readers and giving sharp dialogue, fast-paced action, and emotional depth. The evolution of a sheltered individual into a proactive force in her own life is particularly compelling. Miller's ability to blend suspense with emotional depth ensures that we remain invested from beginning to end. I give the book a rating of five stars because the book also maintains its thrilling elements through fast-paced action scenes, coded messages, and dangerous confrontations. Each chapter keeps the stakes high, making it difficult for readers to put the book down, and without giving too much away, the conclusion of Love at First Spy provides a satisfying mix of closure and new beginnings. The novel ends on a hopeful note, showing that despite the challenges, love can thrive even in the most dangerous of situations. by Eniwoghale EkpohLove at First Spy by Mia Miller is a gripping thriller with elements of crime, espionage, and romance. The novel intricately weaves a dark underworld of assassins, manipulation, and deception. The story follows Wyatt, a once-exiled teenager who carves out a name for himself as a ruthless contract killer, eventually building a powerful empire hidden beneath the guise of a security company. On the other hand, there's Kiara, a young woman with an extraordinary spiritual gift. Her life has been shaped by both her gift and the rejection of her mother, who disapproves of Kiaras abilities and sexuality. Seeking independence, Kiara is unknowingly drawn into Wyatts web when she applies for a job at Bay Security. Chloe, Wyatts granddaughter, harbors a growing obsession with Kiara, watching her from afar and mirroring her every move. But would their fates intertwine? The author's writing style is immersive, with sharp dialogue and detailed character introspection. The pacing of the book is well-balanced, leaving room for suspense building. One major thing I loved about the book is that it explores manipulation, power dynamics, and trauma in a raw and authentic way. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because the plot is engaging, which kept me thoroughly engaged. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy dark, intelligent thrillers with deep character exploration.
by Eruore EkpohLove at First Spy is a book that pulls one into the confusing, convoluted world of espionage, in which the very accomplished contract killer, Wyatt, finds himself deep into a tangle of deception and lies. It tells its engaging story through suspenseful elements while developing richly drawn characters that come to grips with such themes as power, vulnerability, and a rather long route to redemption. The beginning of the book deals with the growing up of Wyatt as a rebellious teenager into a force to be reckoned with in the business of murder-for-hire. His world is thrown into chaos after he meets Kiara, a young girl whose spiritual abilities seem to mark her out as someone different from most people he has met before. This intertwines Wyatt's fight with his dark past with Kiara's search for purpose and direction; thus the story becomes all the more interesting. Miller does imperfect, multi-dimensional characters with considerable skill. It deals mainly with Wyatt, a protagonist whose decisions and choices shape the consequences he faces. Chloe's character becomes more expressive with her complicated relationship with Wyatt and many secrets between them. The novel contains religious themes that may prove a bit provocative for some readers, but they are addressed with sincerity and fairness. It also discusses today's social aspects and problematic questions of spirituality and morality. Well-edited with minor errors not affecting quality, it brings alive the world of espionage and business of Wyatt through author Miller's exhaustive research that brings this world alive and real. This book is a compelling inquiry into human nature through mystery, guilt, and the quest for atonement. It deserves solid 5 out of 5 stars for its well-assembled plot and good depiction of characters. Recommended for readers who enjoy stories of complex human relations.
by Stephen MidiaMia Miller Love at First Spy is a mixture of suspense, romance, and the supernatural. It centers around Wyatt, a man with a horrible past who runs a murder business hiding under a security company. He is a character who is simultaneously creepy and cool that pulls readers into this enchanted, oppressive world of caprice and power wheeling, and Wyatt, a street-hardened youth who becomes a powerful man, is indeed disturbing with dark world views and motivators. The narrative offers a peek into the complexities of human ambition and moral ambiguity. Kiara, a young woman who can communicate with spirits, is the foil to Wyatt's character. Her spiritual ability takes the story on a surprising blend of events and pushes the relationship between Wyatt and herself towards friction. Kiaras goal is to escape from Wyatt's world into her moral high ground, and as we learn more about her, her ongoing battle against her mother Janes concept of moral high ground becomes ever more interesting. She does turn to growth, empowerment, and appreciation. I love the engaging character of Chloe, who moves from being an observer at the start of the story to an active participant. Choe is intrigued by her neighbor Ezek, and her obsession causes her to fall into the fray. This book came out so unpredictable for me, and I highly recommend it to fans who love drama, twisted plots, and the supernatural.
by Solomon AustinReading Mia Miller's is like stepping into a storm of intrigue, deception, and unexpected romance. It is not simply a story but is an experience that enwraps the very essence of living life on the edge. Perhaps one of the most controversial yet oddly captivating characters is Wyatt, the granddaddy of the murder-for-hire empire, leaving you to ever doubt the very grounding of morality that you have engraved in your soul. He's got this dual life doting grandpa by day, ruthless killer by night that just screams crazy. It's downright fascinating, chilling even, to see his evolution from a street-smart teen into being at the very top of the chain in the underworld. Next up is my favorite Kiara, the spirit-communicating, Heaven-remembering heroine who adds a whole new flavor to the otherwise really serious story. Her ability to communicate with spirits and heal others is more than just a plot device; I got to have a liking for the struggle against her mother's aggressive beliefs to fully embrace who she is. I think many Gen-Z's could relate to this book about living one's truth and breaking out of social norms. Above this the story talks about more complex themes such as identity, love, and the endless battle of good over evil. This book is filled with struggles over power, trust, and betrayal. Milestones of dramatic tension and betrayals keep you guessing and encourage you to think about the identity of the real villains. I recommend it to audiences who love romance narratives filled with drama.
by Eunice DamilolaHave you ever really pondered the depths of human nature and the power of love and spirituality? In her novel "Love at First Spy," Mia Miller presents a work of pure fiction incorporating themes of espionage, spiritual gifts, and personal redemption. The story follows Chloe, a young woman still trying to sort through her feelings and identity. She falls for the neighbor, Ezek, the rather dubious one working in espionage. In her emotional upheaval, as she comes to terms with her attraction to Ezek, she begins a quest of self-discovery and empowerment. Wyatt takes center stage in this novel, a dark hero with a life steeped in violence and ambition. He was exiled by his family because he built an evil empire. Besides being a gangster, he presents himself as a highly respectable member of society. Unfortunately for him, the tides of fortune turn when he meets Kiara, a girl who seems to have been endowed with the rather dark ability to remember Heaven and speak with spirits. Kiara's spiritual powers allow her to heal and guide people, but they drive a wedge between her and her mother, Jane, who believes that her daughter's gift threatens her deepest religious beliefs. The narrative portrays Kiara trying to shape a new personality for herself through her own form of empowerment, juxtaposed with Wyatt's machinations. Kiara's spirituality and compassion juxtapose Wyatt's intelligent instincts as a predator. Their relationship turns quite complex as both characters probe into their inner demons and redefine their purposes and worth. The writing by Mia Miller is captivating; I got sucked into the mixture of supernatural lore and mundanity surrounding it. Different points of view add great depth to Miller as she allows me to go through the inner struggles and growth these characters experience. "Love at First Spy" is, in many ways, quite a demanding book as it challenges its readers to think of human nature's complexity and the fact that through love and spiritual connections one finds redemption. Mia Miller paints an interesting blend of mystery and metaphysical themes, engaging me in seeing it's worth earning it a 5 star rating. This is a one-of-a-kind novel.
by Rotimi JohnsonMia Miller is an excellent author of Love at First Spy. The two central characters are Wyatt and Kiara. Wyatt owns a murder empire, and Kiara has special spiritual powers and Chloe who carries a very important role in the story. The book takes us through their meetings and shows how different characters become linked in unforeseen ways through manipulation and deception. The occurrences in this book storyline makes it an entertaining tale. The combination of crime and profound spiritual concepts is what renders Love at First Spy an engaging read. Most of the characters in the novel namely Ezek, Jane and Vlad appear to be charismatic despite their own flaws, and this makes them intriguing. The author maintains an excellent balance within the writing, effectively bringing well-crafted characters together with great plot turns. I rate this novel 5 out of 5. Love at First Spy builds a complex storyline with its innovative perspective, exploring suspense elements while raising new philosophical doubts about morality and belief. Reading this story captured my full attention because the it presented itself as a transformative experience for its characters. I will give a strong recommendation to anyone who enjoys suspense fiction and complex characters along with spiritual quests and intellectual strategy. Thank you for awesome book.
by Jonathan AlemedeThe captivating shift of Wyatt begins in the initial chapter since he spent his childhood as a homeless outsider before entering a brutal world that demands he accept his most sinister promptings for survival. The story opens with this surprising transformation as it establishes an intriguing narrative filled with deception which makes readers wonder about Wyatt and Kiara's upcoming choices. This book uses good storytelling to show Wyatt's experience on the tough streets also showing the spiritual ties Kiara keeps with spirit entities. The story maintains constant tension through its urgent presentation that combines dramatic tension with sense of urgency throughout the entire storyline. When Wyatt meets Kiara their connection deepens while I doubted the genuine purpose of each person's motives which creates suspense that forces me to turn page after page. The genre classification of "Love at First Spy" fits psychological drama and it targets reader preferences for mystery-driven content with manipulative and spiritual storylines. Its special mix of tension with deep emotional impact makes "Love at First Spy" an outstanding member of its category. I give this book a 5 star rating for these reasons. Love at First Spy examines trust-related concepts as well as manipulation throughout the plot challenging your understanding of character motives and decision effects.
by Israel EreofoluwaIn Love at First Spy by Mia Miller, some winning combination of love and secrets and self-discovery all contribute to a nail-biting story. We meet Chloe, a young woman on a life-crisis quest: where does she fit her head in a world filled with mystery and danger? She's the granddaughter of Wyatt, and her life is strongly bound up in his veiled and complex world. Wyatt's a man of two faces, charming and successful on the exterior but as coincidental as it all appears, he's actually a businessman running one of the clandestine organizations filled with espionage and manipulation but whatever he engages in, people close to him, including Chloe and Kiara, must bear the burden of his actions. Wyatt tries to make use of Kiara for his own plans. Kiara's journey involves staving off a path different from Wyatt and her family. She seeks for solutions that serve a double purpose, who she could be in the world and what love means. Chloe is in a world woven into milestones lived by Wyatt and Kiara. Her grandfather's ill-kept secrets teach her a lot more about herself, gaining an inner strength that she never knew she had: love. Through their tight bond, Chloe and Ezek, a woman who worked for Wyatt but wanting to break free herself, reveals how love could sprout amid many obstacles. I'm so Amazed by this book storyline and i can see the author carefully thought it out. Love at First Spy storyline brandishes issues related to identity, bravery, and love. It narrates a well-told tale of romance and intrigue, in a simple language that will be easily consumed by readers alike. Thank you for this amazing book!
by Eseosa AbizuLove at First Spy by Mia Miller is an exciting view into complex relationships between people and their identity. This story progresses through danger and mystery to investigate development of identity and authenticity in characters including Chloe, Wyatt, Kiara, Jane and many others. Wyatt develops from being an exiled presence to becoming a predator while initiating an investigation of human instincts. Through his meetings with Kiara be ready to observe the battle between spiritual illumination and sinister darkness which both display themes of personal growth and empowerment. I would say this story contains suspense, good pacing together with awesome emotional arcs which results in a narrative that maintains reader engagement and stimulates mental examination. The story possesses realistic depth because its well-constructed characters fight their internal conflicts and desires. Kiara's transition from following her mother's oppressive mindset to embracing herself taught me a lesson of accepting oneself and being firm on your identity. The author uses her mastery of linking love elements with religious themes and character growth to create an exciting narrative. Love at First Spy delivers an enchanting story which deeply connects with readers who seek tales about personal growth. My review gives this book five stars due to its compelling narrative alongside its deep analysis into human experiences.
by Udoka NwaigweAt its core, this book is one of identity of who we are, who we think we are, and who we become when life puts us in a corner. Wyatt is a guy who has a past he would rather not remember, and Kiara is a woman who can see things no one else can, literally. She communicates with ghosts, a gift or curse, depending on the person you ask that makes her both powerful and vulnerable at the same time. Wyatt desires a chance, but Kiara is not a piece to be played by another. She is fighting to carve out her own path, even with the burden of her mother's ambitions weighing on her like an anchor. And then there is Chloe, who sneaks up on you and just steals the show. She starts out overwhelmed with grief, hesitant, and unsure. But something shifts, slowly at first, then all of a sudden. Dance is her sanctuary, then her power. And when she finally stands up to Doc? I swear, I was breathless. She is not a heroine, she is afraid and petrified, but she stands firm anyway. That is what makes her story so powerful. She does not find some kind of fairy tale inner strength, she builds it, piece by hard piece, and it is thrilling as heck to watch her do it. Miller's prose is slick but innovative. The dialogue is spontaneous, the emotions ring true, and the twists and turns? Next thing you know, you have a handle on what is going on, and the narrative careens off in another direction, and you are gasping in the best possible way. She understands people, their desires, their imperfections, and their internal battles, and she puts them on paper as if she knows them herself. Final Verdict: This book does not just tell a story, it is in your head for a long time after you have read it. It is thrilling, it is sad, it is hopeful, and it is very human. If you are in the mood for something that keeps you on the edge of your seat but also makes you feel every emotion under the sun, Love at First Spy is what you are looking for. Mia Miller, bow down, you have done something amazing.
by Asibor EromoseleI need a way to rate this book higher than five stars because five stars are not enough. Let me start with Wyatt and Kiara. Wyatt, with his broken past and that quiet longing, and Kiara, who sees ghosts and is struggling with rejection, identity, and just trying to exist in a world that doesnt always make space for her. Their connection is so raw and messy and real that it hurts in the best way. You do not just read their story, you can feel it, trust me. Let us go over to Ezek, who stole my heart and then shattered it into a million tiny, painful pieces. She has this impossible contradiction of being both dangerous and deeply vulnerable, a hitwoman with a soul that aches for love. Her love for Chloe? It is gut wrenching. She wants so badly to protect her, to be near her, but her world is just too dangerous. The way she loves so selflessly, so fiercely, made me want to scream into a pillow. There were moments where I had to literally put the book down just to breathe because damn, Mia Miller, why are you doing this to me? And can we talk about the setting? San Francisco in this book is not just a backdrop, it is a mood. The fog rolled in like a ghost of its own, the colorful houses standing in contrast to the cold, beige, lifeless ones, the cobblestone paths that feel like they have seen stories just as wild as this one. The city feels alive, and it mirrors everything the characters are going through, the love, the danger, the heartbreak, and the hope. It is cinematic. It is art. But the real kicker? That ending. I swear, just when I thought I had emotionally prepared myself, the book threw me off a cliff. It was unexpected, it was dramatic, and it hurt so good. I just sat there, staring at the last page, not even knowing what to do with myself. This book is everything. If you like stories that make you feel, like really feel, drop whatever you are doing and read this. And if anyone invents a 6 star rating system, let me know. Because this book deserves it.
by Oghosa OsegbeI'm giving Love at First Spy by Mia Miller a solid 5 stars because, I mean, this book had me at page one and refused to let go. It has got all that: spies, the supernatural, forbidden love, and enough twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. The show is about Wyatt, a guy who was basically thrown under the bus by his own family and dropped into a life of crime. He has more sinister tendencies, but they do not totally encapsulate him, especially after he meets Kiara. Kiara is no normal love interest; she has the unique gift of communicating with ghosts, and she has some serious family problems. Her mother's dogma is suffocating her, and she is struggling to figure out who she really is. When Wyatt's and Kiara's worlds collide, they are caught up in a maelstrom of conspiracy, lies, and a draw that neither of them anticipates. It is a story about redemption, survival, and if love stands a chance in a world of secrets. And there is Demonique. If mystery had a face, her face would be it. She has that pull of gravity that just possesses every scene that she is ever in. No matter if she is gaming out with Ezek and Chloe or secretively concealing her true intention in the back, you simply know she is doing something, something big. She is one of those characters where you are never sure, and you never know whether she is the villain or a friend or something in between. One of the things I love most about this book is how deeply it explores relationships. It is not just a romance novel; it is a book about trust and betrayal and what it is like to really connect with someone. Kiara's link to the spirit world and her clash with her mom lend a depth of emotion to make her story real and raw. The dynamic of Wyatt and Ezek offers another dimension, and Ezek and Chloe's love is this wonderfully intense rollercoaster of pain, suffering, and power. Every character exists, as though you could just walk into their world and become lost in their fight. Bottom line? If you like books with action, emotion, and a touch of the supernatural blended together, Love at First Spy is a book you must read. It is suspenseful, unpredictable, and loaded with scenes you will remember long after you have read the last page.
by Cephas IsidoreFor me, I was not reading this book; I was living between the pages. My heart was racing, I audibly gasped more than once, and I had to set the book aside for a minute just so I could catch my breath because I was not emotionally prepared. The character Wyatt. Oh, Wyatt. The morally complicated, heart of gold bad boy on the cusp of redemption or oblivion? I was a lost cause. And then there is Kiara, arguably one of my favorite all time female heroines. Not only is she a strong heroine, she is a soft one, in the sense that makes that strength even more intriguing. She talks to ghosts, she fights for love, she rebels against her mother's crushing expectations, and she does it all while staying true to herself. Watching her work through her identity, her paranormal powers, and her mother's impossible expectations had me in deep feels. And speaking of emotions, Mia Miller decimated me. The tension between Kiara and her mother, Jane? Shattering. The way Kiara looks out for herself, even though she knows it will break her mom's heart? I felt it. I wished to shake Jane, to scream at her to see her daughter for what she was. But I understood her, too, and that is what makes this book so phenomenal, no one is ever just good or bad. Everyone is keenly, painfully human. And the romance? It is not merely a spark, it is fireworks, a slow burn, and heartbreak all wrapped up in one. Wyatt and Kiara's chemistry glows. The way they go at each other, push each other, and look at each other? It is the kind of love that does not just make your heart pound, it makes it ache so good. By the final chapters, I was clutching the book as if it were my lifeline. The betrayals. The twists. The ending, I am still not over it. So yeah, 5 stars. Not just because it was an incredible read, but because it made me feel everything, hope, heartbreak, love. Mia Miller, you own my soul now.
by Kayla UzieThis book is not just about thrilling spy missions or forbidden love, though do not worry, there is plenty of that. It is about broken people trying to figure out if they can be whole together. And honestly? It wrecked me in the best way. Let us talk about Wyatt. Oh, Wyatt. He is the kind of character that makes you want to scream at the pages, Dude, what are you doing?! But also, you get why he is the way he is. Life has been nothing but rejection and violence for him, and he has learned to be cruel before the world can be cruel to him. He is not just some bad boy with a dark past, he is someone who does not even believe he is capable of love. And then there is Kiara, who has been treated like an outsider her whole life because of her ability to talk to spirits. She is already struggling with who she is, what she wants, and whether she even deserves happiness. And then Wyatt enters her life, and it is like two storms colliding. The way their relationship unfolds is both messy and beautiful. At first, Wyatt sees Kiaras vulnerabilities as something he can use. And that is what makes his transformation so powerful, because slowly, almost against his own will, he starts caring. Not just in an I want to protect you way, but in a I did not know I was capable of loving someone way. And Kiara? She is not just some damsel waiting to be saved, she is figuring out her own power and learning to stand up for herself and for what she wants. There is something so raw and real about the way they push and pull against each other, scared to trust, scared to hope, but unable to walk away. And let me tell you, this book does not hold back on the twists. Just when you think you have a grip on what has happening, Miller flips the script. Wyatts past? Way worse than you think. The danger Kiaras in? Way more intense than you expect. At one point, I had to close the book and breathe because I was not ready for what just happened. And the way it weaves suspense with romance? Perfection. One moment you are swooning, the next you are on the edge of your seat whispering, Oh no, oh NO.
by MATILDA IHIEOMA NELSON-OKOHIf I had to pick just one word to describe Love at First Spy, it would be consuming. Because, honestly? I forgot to eat. I stayed up way too late. And when I finally turned the last page, I just sat there, staring at the ceiling, trying to process everything I had just been through. The book digs into the parts of you that maybe you do not even want to look at. Wyatt is not your typical bad boy with a heart of gold. He is dangerous and unpredictable, and for a good chunk of the book, I was not even sure if I wanted to root for him. But that is what makes his journey so gripping, because when someone has been in the dark for so long, how do they even know if they deserve the light? And Kiara God, Kiara. I felt her story in my bones. The way she struggles, not just with love but with her own identity and her own worth, hits something deep inside me. I know what it is like to feel like who you are is not enough for the people who are supposed to love you unconditionally. Her mother rejection of her gifts? That kind of pain lingers. But watching Kiara reclaim herself, step into her power, and say, I am who I am, and I would not apologize for it, is the kind of moment that makes you want to stand up and cheer. And do not even get me started on Doc. She is the kind of villain that gets under your skin and stays there. She is ruthless, terrifyingly intelligent, and manipulative in ways that made my stomach turn. But she is also fascinating. I hated her. I loved reading about her. And maybe, just maybe, I understood her, even when I did not want to. This book is not just about love; it is about survival. It is about fighting for yourself when the world tells you you are too broken, too different, too much. It is about finding connection in the unlikeliest places and realizing that even in the messiest, darkest moments, love, real love, can still find a way in. I did not just read Love at First Spy. I felt it. And I think you will too.

by Joy leeLove at First Spy by Mia Miller combines espionage with family secrets alongside self-discovery in an exciting way. Wyatt has concealed his dangerous criminal activities from his granddaughter throughout multiple years. He appoints Ezek to safeguard his granddaughter by making him pose as a distant neighbor who monitors her safety.
