Of all the books I could wish our leaders would read, this is it. Carol Gabriella Norbeck does not stop at speaking to leadership; she tackles the core issue of leading with faith. She challenges leaders to be other than decision makers pretty much what they are now but an example of shining the light of Christ to the world. By using real life stories, biblical insight, and practical application, Norbeck lays down a road map for leaders in their desire to lead with integrity, responsibility, and an authentic heart for service. She does not sugarcoat that being a leader is tough, as we already know. But through love, humility, and a whole lot of grace, she does show that leadership can be a transformational influence, not merely for the people at the top but also for everyone whom they lead. And if these lessons were genuinely followed by our world leaders, the world would really be a far better place to live in. Okay, now let me give you the reason why I gave this book 5 stars. It was rather simple, really; I just absolutely loved how Norbeck masterfully wove her memoir together with biblical wisdom to bring both into compelling and profoundly resonating lessons. She does not just tell you what to think; she shows you through very vivid, heart to heart storytelling. Take this story about Kristen: Kristen instantly made friends and plunged with gusto into experiences upon passing the deep end test sans celebration. It is much more than just cute; this speaks to one of the core messages of this book: embracing challenge with faith and love. It is like the parable of the talents, when the servants have resources and are responsible for making the most of them. Norbeck has that great way of taking biblical teachings and making them not sound like some sort of ancient text, but practical advice about how to live in the real world.

Are you the kind of leader who leads from the heart of Christ? Well, this book will guide you through just that! It is divided into two major power segments: Leading Self and Leading Others. First, you will plunge deep into the building of a rock solid foundation of character like excellence, integrity, trustworthiness, and stewardship, all anchored in a love for God. Then, you will be taken into the area of servant leadership: leading with grace, forgiveness, and deep, meaningful connections through the power of listening. What I love most about this book is the whole new paradigm it creates for the way we think about leadership. It is not about titles and power but about climbing through the ranks. Rather, it is following Christ in every step we make. Norbeck does not just give tips on leadership; she is pouring her heart and soul into proving how faith and leadership are inseparable. She challenges us to lead with excellence, trustworthiness, integrity, and stewardship, not because it looks good but because that is who we are called to be. Probably one of the most impactful parts of this book is when she talks about Zacchaeus. We mostly know him for being the tax collector who climbed a tree to see Jesus, but that is not quite all there is about him. The rest is that one moment with Christ changed everything. He did not just apologize for his past; he did a complete turnaround in life and became a bishop, leading and serving with love and integrity. That is the heartbeat of this book: leadership is not about control or recognition; it is about transformation. It is about letting Christ work in you so you can pour into others. Whether you have ever wondered how to lead in a way that truly matters, this book will shake you, challenge you, and encourage you to step fully into the leader God created you to be. Trust me, this is a 5 star book.
